Useful Writing Sites

The Society of Authors is the professional body for serious writers. An invaluable source of help and information.

The Romantic Novelists' Association is for published writers of romance. They offer an excellent New Writers' Scheme for first-time novelists.

My local writing group at Erskine which is affiliated to the Scottish Association of Writers. This is where my writing career began, with a lovely group of like-minded people.

The Scottish Association of Writers which includes affiliated writing groups from around Scotland. There is a wonderful weekend conference each March with loads of competitions open to attendees. Through this I had my first publication.

The Scottish Fellowship of Christian Writers has a quarterly magazine and two annual day conferences. Enjoy friendly fellowship and inspiration.

An Internet travel website, Synergise, which offers the opportunity to be published and to have your own profile page after two articles are accepted.

One of the best sites for up-to-date writing competitions is Ask about Writing.
