The Highland Lass : Eilidh Campbell returns home to the west coast of Scotland, after her mother's death in America, over twenty years after she was taken there as a child. She has one burning aim: to find out who her real father was. Why did her mother and aunt fall out all those years ago and what happened when they used to attend the US navy dances on Dunoon, when the navy was based in the Holy Loch? Along the way, Eilidh begins to fall in love, while tracing the story of Robert Burns and Mary Campbell (Highland Mary), her mother's namesake, who is buried in her home town.
